 M. Momeyer, 76, Warsaw, passed away quietly Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, in Fort Wayne’s St. Joseph Hospital.

Born in Akron, Ohio to Dr. Harold Etling and his wife, Ada (Marquis) Etling, she was one of two daughters raised in the family home. In 1954, the family moved to Winona Lake and she graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1959.

It was in high school and through Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church where Lois Etling met the love of her life, Larry Momeyer. The two were united in marriage on June 18, 1960, and shared more than 58 years of memories. To their union, five children were born.

She was a kind, loving and caring person. Her generosity extended to both family and friends, whom she loved dearly but also to strangers and acquaintances. She loved children which was fitting as she worked in the cafeteria at Madison Elementary for more than 20 years. She also worked as a cook at Winona Hotel (Christian Assembly) and sold Avon for many years. In fact, she continued to sell Avon to select customers until only recently. She loved hunting for treasures at yard and garage sales.

A gracious woman of faith, Lois Momeyer was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church and attended Lakeland Grace Brethren Church.

In addition to her husband, those who survive include three sons: Eugene Momeyer, Carl Momeyer and Wayne Momeyer, all of Warsaw; two daughters: Beverly Clark, Warsaw; and Theresa (Doug) Overy, Auburn; eight grandchildren: Andy (Crista) Overy, Steve Overy, Joe Overy, David Overy, Chad Wolf, Brandan Wolf, Ashley Wolf and Zach Momeyer; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Janet (Howard) Strickler of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Lois was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13. Dr. Russ Simpson, pastor of Lakeland Grace Brethren Church, will officiate the funeral service which will be held at Titus Funeral Home Friday at 11 a.m. with doors open for one-hour prior. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to Lakeland Grace Brethren Church, 2538 S County Farm Rd, Warsaw, IN 46580. Those wishing to express their sympathy or sign the guestbook may do so at www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
