
Joan Kizer, 88, Warsaw, passed away at 2:25 a.m., Tuesday Sept. 4, 2018, at Visiting Nurses and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born on July 29, 1930, to Harry H. and Mae (Parker) Dibble in South Bend.
She had been a resident of Granger for 34 years the moving to Warsaw in 2009. She married Jack D. Kizer on Nov. 25, 1950, in South Bend.
She was a retired real estate broker, an avid bridge player and a voracious reader.
Joan Kizer is survived by her daughter Jill (Steve) Beehler and her son James D. (Candace) Kizer, both of Warsaw; grandchildren, Katie (Maximilian) Maile, Warsaw, Kiel (Jessica) Beehler, Greensboro, N.C., Alan Kizer, Pierceton and Sabrina Kizer, Warsaw; great grandchildren Benjamin Ryan and Beckett Matthew Maile; sister, Mae Floretta Bruner of New Jersey.
She is preceded by her parents, husband Jack on January 13, 2016, and a sister Carolyn Metzger.
Visitation hours are scheduled from noon-2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m., with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Private interment will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger, Indiana
