PaulinePauline Elizabeth (Brendle) Weaver, 94, of Nappanee, Ind., passed away at 1:55 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at her daughter’s residence.

She was born March 20, 1918, in East Earl, Pa., to Israel W. and Leah S. (Martin) Brendle. She graduated from New Holland High School, and moved to Nappanee in 1948 from Pennsylvania. Pauline married Isaac G. Weaver on Nov. 2, 1941, in Lancaster County, Pa. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1989.

She worked with her husband in farming and was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Mennonite Church in New Paris, Ind., and enjoyed contributing to The Women’s Sewing Circle there. She also enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her son: Kenneth L. (Janet) Weaver, Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughters: Pauline W. (Cary) Habegger, Lebanon, Pa.; Connie L. (Dennis) Stichter, Lebanon; Charlotte A. (Mike Hoover) Weaver, Goshen, Ind.; daughter-in-law: Sherry Weaver, Goshen, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ethel Brendle, Lititz, Pa.; Louisa Lehman, Lancaster, Pa.; Ruth Kauffman, Ephrata, Pa.; Marian (Darrel) Hostetler, Goshen; sister-in-law: Alma Brendle of Goodville, Pa.

She was preceded in death by a son: Leon B. ‘Lee’ Weaver; a brother: Melvin Brendle; and sisters; Irma Hoober and Arlene Martin.

Visitation will take place from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. also at the church. Pastor Terrill Yoder, of Salem Mennonite Church will lead the service. Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Salem Mennonite Church for The Women’s Sewing Circle.
