Trojans Start Slow In Loss At Bethany

ELKHART — Triton’s boys tennis team started slow in a meet with Bethany Christian Saturday, picking it up late but ultimately falling 4-1.

The Trojans’ only win came at 2 singles, where Jared Bules beat Philliup Krybill in straight 6-4 sets. John Gardner split with Liam Bradford at 1 singles but lost in three, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. Connor Large fell 6-4, 6-1 to Braden Bohn at the other singles position, Carter Kuntz and Chase Butler lost 3-2 to Nathan Oostland and Jonah Farran at 1 doubles, and Tyler Heckaman and Grant Eib were beaten 6-0, 7-6(4) at 2 doubs.

Triton’s JV also fell, three match points to one.

The Trojans slip to 3-5 overall. They play at Tippecanoe Valley Tuesday.
