Staying consistent in the offense allowed Warsaw to earn a big Northern Lakes Conference win Tuesday night.
Warsaw scored two goals in each of the halves, getting two goals from Delaney Taylor and a solo shot each from Audrey Grimm and Anna Grill. Abby Steffensmeier added an assist in the scoring column.
Kaylee Patton was excellent in net for the Lady Tigers, capping her third shutout in as many games and fourth of the season, stuffing all three Goshen shots.
Goshen’s JV came out on top of the undercard with a 3-0 victory.
Warsaw (5-1, 3-0 NLC) will face another ranked opponent Thursday when it visits No. 5 Homestead.
NORTHWOOD 1, WESTVIEW 0
Kira Robinson put in another fine effort to record her fourth shutout of the season for the Panthers.
Robinson made just two saves, but kept Westview from finding an equalizer after Avery Bontrager gave Wood the lead with the only tally in the 50th minute. Emma Martz had the assist on the goal.
NorthWood outshot Westview 14-2 on the night.
The NorthWood JV won its game, 4-0, over Westview. Stats from the junior game were not provided.
NorthWood (4-1) will visit Northridge Thursday night in a key NLC matchup.
