WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested after entering a subject’s residence without permission.
Constance Jones, 46, Warsaw, is being charged with residential entry, a level 6 felony.
On Aug. 12, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a report of a residential entry complaint.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, a male subject told the officer he was woke up by a loud noise from inside the house. He saw a female, later identified as Jones, standing in the bedroom doorway. When the male encountered her, Jones said, “I’m sorry. I will just let myself out the front door.”
Officers located Jones. She was wearing Nike shoes that were soaking wet and covered with a lot of grass clippings. The sole design of Jones’ Nike shoes was very distinct and matched the wet footprints on the male subject’s deck. The subject’s yard had been recently mowed and was covered with grass clippings.
Jones has already been arrested and released on her own recognizance. She has an initial hearing date at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in Kosciusko Superior Court 3.
