Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:32 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, East CR 750N and North CR 400E, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeff Sanchez, 58, Lake Street, Warsaw; and Charles Shroyer, 31, EMS B42 Lane, Leesburg. Sanchez’s vehicle side-swiped Shroyer’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
4:54 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, East CR 1400N and North CR 150E, Milford. Driver: Brittany Crance, 28, Railside Drive, Syracuse. Crance’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
4:01 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, West CR 500N, west of North CR 200W, Warsaw. Driver: Markee Tener-Farler, 22, Sycamore Road, Plymouth. Tener-Farler attempted to brake but claimed her brake pedal went to the floor. Her vehicle struck a utility pole. The responding officer noted that the brake pedal had pressure when he stopped on it. Damages up to $5,000.
3:09 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, West US 30, North CR 500W, Atwood. Drivers: Leslie Patrick, 38, Walnut Drive, North Webster; and Ronald Swihart, 65, West CR 550N, Rochester. Patrick was driving northbound on CR 500W and did not see Swihart’s vehicle on US 30 until her vehicle was already in the roadway. The two vehicles collided and Patrick’s vehicle overturned at least one time. Patrick was transported to Lutheran Hospital by air ambulance. Patrick’s passenger Kevin Hobbs, 53, Claypool, and Swihart were transported by ground ambulance for their injuries. Damages up to $50,000.
6:55 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, South CR 750E, north of East CR 500S, Pierceton. Driver: Chelsea King, 23, Mulberry Street, South Whitley. King’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:34 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, South Huntington Street, north of East Pittsburgh Street. Drivers: Lindsay Collier, 29, Dogleg Drive, Syracuse; and Tanja Taddonio, Carr Road, Belleville Mich. Both vehicles attempted to turn into the gas station at the same time, causing a collision. Damages up to $5,000.
