WARSAW — While there was no weather warning or watch in Kosciusko County, a pretty powerful storm blew through the area last night, Aug. 6.
The storm passed through Warsaw at around 8:30 p.m. The weather caused a number of emergency calls including transformer fires, trees down and possible lightning strikes. Most of the county’s damage seemed to occur in the Warsaw area.
As of 9 a.m. this morning, 119 NIPSCO customers remain without power in Warsaw.
Several side streets are still closed due to the storms, including Harrison Street near Kosciusko Community Hospital.
