UPDATE: Single Vehicle Accident On State Road 25 Injures Two

The vehicle went off the roadway into a ditch and struck a tree.

KOSCIUSKO — At approximately 2:06 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, a single-vehicle accident occurred on South SR 25, south of West CR 250S, Warsaw.

Andrew N. Bennett, 35, North Tucker Street, Mentone, told police he was driving his vehicle southwest on SR 25 and was negotiating a left-hand curve when he entered the curve too fast, causing him to over-steer. The vehicle began to travel sideways, leaving the west side of the roadway and rolling over onto the driver’s side.

Both Bennett and passenger Madison Kreamer-Bennett, 13, Mentone, were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for further treatment of injuries related to the crash.

Bennett advised that he did not have insurance on the vehicle.

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Department, Lutheran EMS and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.

Damages were estimated at up to $10,000.
