WARSAW — The Animal Welfare League hosted its second annual barbecue at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 28.

Attendees had the opportunity to adopt animals that were at the event. Approximately 10 dogs and 20 cats were there for people to walk, hold, and pet. Several of the shelter animals were adopted and went home with their new families.

During the event, silent and live auctions were held. Attendees bid on items like animal gift baskets, sport totes, and decorative items. People also participated in games like a frisbee toss, corn hole, and face painting. All funds from admission costs and auction events will help fund the new facility for the Animal Welfare League.
