Mary Kathleen Dooley, 69, of Disko, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2018, at her residence.

She was born April 26, 1949, in Grundy, Va. to Clarence and Clemie (Lester) Bailey. She was married on Oct. 24, 1965, in Virginia to James Fred Dooley, who survives.

She was a homemaker and also helped others by doing home health care. She enjoyed looking up at the stars in the sky. She loved fishing, gardening, and taking care of children.

She is survived by her husband: Fred Dooley, Disko; a son: Freddie (Kathy) Dooley, Young America; a daughter: Carol (Randy) Shelburne, Rochester; grandchildren: Jennifer, Brandy, Dexter, and Dale; five great-grandchildren; brothers: George, Pastor Luther and wife Annie, and Gerald (Judy) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Billie Joe, a daughter Melissa and bothers Willie and Doug Bailey.

A private family service will take place at a later date.
