Janet R. Stouder, 80, of Warsaw (Hoffman Lake) passed away Friday, July 6, in Kosciusko Community Hospital after a brief illness. Her family was at her side since her admission.

Stouder was born on March 24,1938, in Kosciusko County to Robert and Helen (Smith) Taylor. She married Richard “Dick” Stouder in a ceremony on Sept. 23, 1963. He survives along with two daughters: Carmen and spouse Scott LaRue of Fort Wayne and Jennifer and spouse Jason Hefner of Etna Green. She was further blessed by her grandchildren she dearly loved Anna, Timothy, Daniel and Benjamin LaRue and Justin, Michael and Matthew Hefner. Her only sister surviving is Joyce Bockman of Elkhart.

Stouder was retired from the Warsaw School Corporation working in the Nurses office as an assistant and she was a Tupperware sales person. She was a member of the Etna Green Church of Christ, Jr. O.N.O. of Etna Green and Ladies Home Extension Club. Her favorites hobbies include reading, she loved the lake, her family and she was a “Good Mom”. She was a life long resident of Kosciusko County and a graduate of Claypool High School.

Preceding in death were her parents, two sisters June and Jean and her brother Robert.

The Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the arrangements for the family. A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, in the Etna Green Church of Christ, 206 W. Broadway, Etna Green, with Pastor Jordan Ickes officiating.

A time of visiting with the Stouder family will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the church.
