WARSAW — The second annual Chapman Lake parade was held last night, July 6. Around 25 entries came out to participate in this year’s theme, through the decades.

Parade entries really got into this years theme and decorations included a Flintstones car, horse drawn carriages and multiple hippy-themed floats. As seen last year, some floats decided to honor the holiday season and use patriotic decorations. The Plain Township Fire Department and Lutheran EMS even made appearances.

Last year, the parade was only open to golf carts, but this year the entries were expanded to also include wagons or trailers. A few groups took advantage of the additional room a trailer allowed and made the event a family and friends affair.

The weekend fun isn’t over for Chapman Lake. The Chapman Lake fireworks will be held at dusk tonight, July 7.
