AUBURN – The Lakeland Christian Academy boys basketball team dropped a 59-32 final at Lakewood Park Friday night.

The hosts led just 14-10 after the opening quarter and 24-14 at halftime. Lakewood Park then outscored the Cougars 21-8 in the third stanza to take control of the contest.

Zarek Finley led LCA, which drops to 5-11 with its third straight loss, with seven points. Chris Silveus scored five points for the Cougars.

The LCA trio of Chris Maron, Billy Pitts and Calvin Prinsen each netted four points in the loss. Prinsen led the Cougars with nine rebounds.

Zac Crosby scored a game-high 18 points for Lakewood Park, which won its fifth straight game to improve to 9-5. Wesley Davidson had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers.

LCA (5-11) hosts Gary 21st Century and Lakewood Park (9-5) plays at Fort Wayne South Saturday night.
