SYRACUSE — Chautauqua-Wawasee, along with Oakwood Property Owners Association, are hosting and old-time summer event – Oakwood Summerfest today, Saturday, June 30, until 3 p.m. So there’s still plenty of time to come out and have some old fashioned family fun.

The summerfest event is being held at the Event Center Lawn, between the event center and chapel at Oakwood Resort, with plenty of shade under the old oak trees.

The fun family event includes food from Roll N Smoke BBQ Food Truck and Vienna hotdogs, desserts, ice cream either in a cone or in a  sundae, music and games. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy live music with Will Certain and be entertained by Pipsqueak and Clarabelle the clowns.

Kids will love playing the various ring or bean bag toss games with each target hit earning a ticket. The tickets can be exchanged for a variety of prizes. Don’t miss the face painting. Additionally, for the cost of a T-shirt, everyone can “Cover Your Own T-Shirt.”
