Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

6:28 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, West US 30, west of North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Denise V. Williams, 19, Serenity Drive, Fort Wayne. Williams was traveling east on US 30 when her vehicle left the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment and overturning, landing upside down. Williams complained of glass in her foot and was treated by EMS but refused to be transported to the hospital. Damage up to $10,000.

3:28 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, East CR 650S, near South CR 700E, Pierceton. Drivers: William D. Kent, 57, South Old SR 13 10, Pierceton; and Zeb M. Bays, 37, West CR 400S, South Whitley. Kent was traveling west on CR 650S when his vehicle’s brakes failed, causing him to run a stop sign and strike Bays’ vehicle. The front of Kent’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Bays’ vehicle. Kent complained of chest pain and lacerations. Damage up to $25,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

2:28 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, US 30, east of Springhill Road. Drivers: Francisco J. Brito, 26, East Wooster Road, Pierceton; Joshua A. Scully, 36, Country Park Lane, Fort Wayne; Daniel W. Harper, 44, P.O. Box 67, Leesburg; Kacy M. McClelland, 32, East Dove Lane, Milford; and Adrienne M. Shreve, 23, Kenilworth Road, Lakeville. Scully was traveling east in the left lane of US 30 when he slowed his vehicle due to traffic in front of him slowing down. As Scully slowly moved forward, his vehicle was rear-ended by Brito’s. This caused Scully’s vehicle to rear-end Harper’s vehicle. Harper’s vehicle was pushed into McClelland’s vehicle, which caused McClelland’s vehicle to be pushed into Shreve’s vehicle. A passenger in Scully’s vehicle, Erica Scully, 8, complained of head pain. Damage up to $50,000.

10:01 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, North Park Avenue, south of East Clark Street. Drivers: Marie A. Boutin-Ryan, 56, East High Circle Drive, Warsaw; and Halie B. Brown, 22, West Stan Mar Estates Drive, Brazil. Boutin-Ryan was traveling east on Clark Street when she attempted to make a left turn. She pulled too far forward and entered the intersection, causing Brown’s vehicle to collide with Boutin-Ryan’s. Damage up to $5,000.

6:30 p.m. Monday, June 25, West Winona Avenue, west of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dan M. Roberts, 55, South CR 1000W, Claypool; Beth A. Crone, 53, EMS B37 Lane, Warsaw. Roberts told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on Winona Avenue and that he did not see Crone stop her vehicle in front of him. Damage up to $2,500.

12:42 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2924 Frontage Road. Driver: Dennis A. Stuller, 60, 3rd Street, Fort Wayne. Stuller was in a parking lot when he turned left and struck a light pole. Stuller believes that the trailer of his vehicle sideswiped the light pole. Damage up to $5,000.

11:17 a.m. Monday, June 25, Jalynn Street, west of Detroit Street. Drivers: A.J. Sizemore, 74, West Main Street, North Manchester; and Arlene R. Layman, 78, Greencroft Drive Apartment 266, Goshen. Layman’s vehicle was in the left lane of travel when Sizemore’s vehicle crossed the center line, colliding with Layman’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
