Austin Michael Parks, 18, 120 South Jackson St., Atwood, is charged with intimidation, a level 6 felon; possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.

According to police, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department observed a light colored passenger vehicle on Old Road 30, which was missing the license plate light on May 1. Police also reported that the driver, identified as Parks, failed to property signal for a turn. Using a canine partner, police conducted an outer air search of the vehicle and the canine signaled a positive alert of the vehicle.

Police searched the vehicle and found marijuana, a plastic tube containing a white residue and a bag containing a white crystal powder, tested positive to be methamphetamine. Police also reported finding marijuana. Police said Parks admitted to owning the drugs and paraphernalia.

On May 30, police were called to a Warsaw Penguin Point restaurant for an intimidation complaint. The manager of the restaurant told police a call was received from a man complaining about food ordered from the restaurant.

The manager said the caller threatened to come back to the restaurant and shoot her and break out the restaurant’s windows. Police traced the phone number back to Parks, who they say admitted to making the phone call.
