KOSCIUSKO — The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Heat Advisory until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 17.

High temperatures in the middle 90s are expected Sunday. Peak heat indices are expected to be around 100 from the early afternoon into early evening hours.

The heat will lead to hazardous conditions, particularly for the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions. Keep in mind that heat indices are in areas with at least some shading. People in full sunshine could experience heat indices several degrees warmer.
