Warsaw Man Arrested For Dealing Narcotics, Illegal Gun Possession

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after police monitored a drug deal and found him also in possession of a firearm he was not permitted to carry.

Trenton Francis Hairrell, 24, 1104 N. Crete Drive, Warsaw, is charged with dealing in a narcotic drug with enhancing circumstances, a level 3 felony, possession of a narcotic drug with enhancing circumstances, a level 5 felony, possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor and carrying a handgun without a license, a class A misdemeanor.

According to police, a drug deal involving Hairrell was monitored and intercepted by officers and a search produced not only the narcotic drug, but also an uncased Ruger 9 mm handgun, marijuana and scales. Police reported that Hairrell admitted to not having a license to carry the pistol.

Hairrell is due for an initial hearing in Kosciusko County Circuit Court on Aug. 2 at 8:15 a.m
