Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:15 a.m. Friday, June 8, East CR 750N, west of North CR 300E, Leesburg. Driver: Marcus A. Miller, 33, East Garfield Street, Warsaw. On June 7, Miller was traveling west on CR 750N. His vehicle failed to make a turn and left the roadway, striking a ditch bank and coming to rest in a bean field. Miller advised he did not report the accident at the time it occurred due to not having a license. Damage up to $5,000.
3:53 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, South CR 325E, north of East US 30, Warsaw. Driver: Kim A. Brown, 54, P.O. Box 253, Pierceton. Brown advised she was traveling west on US 30 and that a vehicle that had been in the median entered her lane of travel. Brown was able to avoid striking the other vehicle, but struck a guardrail with her vehicle. Brown was transported from the scene by medics. Damage up to $25,000.
Mentone
Officers with the Mentone Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:35 p.m. Thursday, June 7, SR 25 and Etna Street. Drivers: Thomas D. Fetter, 68, West 8th Street, Rochester; and November R. Hunt, 16, West CR 900N, Macy. Fetter was attempting to pass a line of traffic, including Hunt’s vehicle. Hunt’s vehicle began to turn left and was struck by Fetter’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:12 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, East US 30 and East CR 200S, Pierceton. Drivers: Michael K. Kuehne, 61, Cavalcade Circle, Naperville, Fla.;and David T. Meadows, 26, Wappes Road, Churubusco. Kuehne’s vehicle rear-ended Meadows’ vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
2:53 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, SR 13 and Old Road 30, Pierceton. Drivers: Raistlin W. Rice, 23, West CR 500S, Mentone; and Ricky L. Enyeart, 66, East Third Street, North Manchester. A county highway department dump truck was following another truck with a trailer, turning left on Old Road 30 from SR 13. Rice advised that the truck and trailer in front of him turned left and the light was green. He stated he did not see Enyeart’s vehicle approaching and turned left, in the path of Enyeart’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:34 p.m. Thursday, June 7, Wooster Road and South CR 250E, Winona Lake. Drivers: Micah J. Hall, 17, East CR 350S, Pierceton; and Amy A. Feldman, 51, East Legacy Lane, Winona Lake. Hall’s vehicle rear-ended Feldman’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
