Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

7:39 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, East CR 175N, west of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Driver: Eric E. Coburn, 62, Yvonna Street, Leesburg. Coburn told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on CR 175N when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $5,000.

11:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, East US 30, west of South CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Lester A. Bickel, 72, West CR 700S, Warren. Bickel told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $10,000.

6:36 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, North SR 15 and West Van Buren Street, Leesburg. Drivers: Darcie K. Stump, 28, South SR 25, Warsaw: Randall J. Zimmerman, 50, CR 28, Goshen. Stump told police she was driving her vehicle on West Van Buren Street and was stopped at the intersection with SR 15. She said she did not see the vehicle driven by Zimmerman and proceeded into the intersection, causing the collision. Damage up to $10,000.
