Driving too fast for the road conditions resulted in an accident and enforcement action against a Warsaw man.

Elkhart County authorities investigated the Sunday night crash on U.S. 6 east of CR 13 near Nappanee that involved a 1998 GMC Safari driven by Dale Bondell, 53. According to police, Bondell was eastbound on U.S. 6 at about 8:26 p.m. when he attempted to pass a buggy on icy roads. Bondell lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree.

Bondell sustained a laceration to his face and complained of right ankle pain. He was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital by Nappanee medics. Police cited him for driving too fast for the road conditions.
