CHILLICOTHE, OHIO— A dog found in Ross County with the words “free,” and “good home only” will soon have a new home.

The dog was left in a kennel and abandoned in a park in Chillicothe, according to Ross County Humane Society, Brittany May.
The puppy had writing all over her body, including “FREE,” and “GOOD HOME ONLY.” All written in permanent marker.

May told us the dog is a female, lab-mix who is around 5-6 months old.

The humane society have named the dog Marvella, which means “miracle.”

May added they have gotten most of the permanent marker off of the dog’s fur coat. May posted the photos of Marvella to her personal Facebook page, adding that whoever had done this to the dog had reached “a whole new level of LOW!”

If you are interested in adopting Marvella, she will be available for adoption this Wednesday.

You can find out more information about the Ross County Humane Society adoption process, on their website: http://www.rosscountyhumanesociety.org/
