MENTONE — Join the library for story hour at 3 p.m. every Wednesday and 10 a.m. every Friday. Children listen to a story, sing songs and make a craft.

The Bell Memorial Public Library 2018 Summer Reading program begins Monday, June 4. It is open to all age groups. Sign-up begins Monday, May 21. This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock.” The program runs from June 4 to July 13. You must have a library card to participate. Contact the library for more information on how to obtain one.

The library board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 21. Board meetings are open to the public.

We have a number of book buddies kits available for checkout. These kits contain storybooks as well as manipulatives. These are a great way to get the kids involved and interested in reading.

New books coming to the library include: “Hell’s Princess” by Harold Schechter, “Meghan” by Andrew Morton, “One Last Breath” by Lisa Jackson, “Overkill” by Ted Dekker, “The Perfect Mother” by Aimee Molloy, and “Rocket Men” by Robert Kurson.
