WARSAW — Baker Youth Club held their annual end of the school year awards ceremony on Thursday, May 17. BYC Executive Director Tracy Furnivall handed out the awards at the ceremony.

The awards revolved around BYC’s six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, citizenship, caring and fairness.

The biggest awards of the night were the Boy and Girl of the Year. The Girl of the Year award was given to Angelica Garcia Ponce and the Boy of the Year honor was awarded to Charlie Sexton. Izabella Woodruff was Girl of the Year runner-up and Kellen Heuber was Boy of the Year runner-up.

Furnivall also took time to recognize staff members and volunteers of Baker Youth Club, including Ashley Maust, Brooke Miller, Caleb Clower, Caleb Rovenstien, Coyle Kreft, David Goon, Gail Rodriguez, Haylie Lackey, Josh Engle, Keagan Rice, Kelly Furnivall, Mark Tracy, Robert Lee, Sadie Halpin, Tanya Kempton, Tecy Banta, Thomas Pennington, Tony Pickett, Trae Furnivall, Whitney Ousley, Courtney Coles, Tommy Breeding, Katie Richards, Noah Marshal and Ronnie Shoemaker.
