North Webster

Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:

3:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, SR 13, north of East CR 1000N, Syracuse. Drivers: Jami Heck, 35, South CR 300E, North Manchester; and Matthew Coy, 37, North CR 500E, Syracuse. Coy was slowing his vehicle down to turn left. Heck was pulling a trailer with livestock and failed to drive around Coy’s vehicle, causing the accident. Damages up to $10,000. 

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidenst:

7:23 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2519 E. Center St., Warsaw. Drivers: Hilbrandusl Bodewes, 51, Delfgaauw, Netherlands; and Jamie Stidham, 41, Old Trail Road, Pierceton. Bodewes was backing his vehicle out of a parking spot and struck the side of Stidham’s vehicle. Bodewes was driving a rental car belonging to Avis for Zimmer Biomet. Damages up to $5,000. 

4:06 p.m. Monday, May 14, East Center Street and Hickory Street. Driver: Ryan E. Stewart, 40, West Rogers Street, Osceola. Stewart was traveling south on North Detroit Street, attempting to cross the railroad tracks. Emergency vehicles were preventing others from crossing while Norfolk Southern Railroad worked on the tracks. Stewart drove around an emergency vehicle and drove over one of the new steel railroad track rails that was sitting on top of the ground at the crossing, causing his vehicle to get stuck. Damage up to $2,500.

7:25 a.m. Monday, May 14, East Center Street, east of Lincoln Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dylan Beiler, 17, Springfield Drive, Warsaw; and Issiac Howard-Mitchell, 17, Pine Cone Lane, Warsaw. Boiler was approaching the intersection and rear-ended Howard-Mitchell’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
