WARSAW — New rail was unloaded up to Fort Wayne Street yesterday afternoon, May 14, emptying the first rail train. All rail crossings are currently open, but Hickory Street will remain closed today, May 15, for additional clean-up work. Motorists are advised to drive slowly over crossings.

The rail train will return to Columbia City to reload, and it will return to work on unloading rail from Fort Wayne Street northward.

The city does not have a date for the train’s return, but updates will be provided as they are received from the railroad.
