Warsaw — A Warsaw man was arrested when his girlfriend told police he had choked her and then led police to where he keeps his marijuana.

Michael Lynn Losher

Michael Lynn Losher, 36, 44 EMS B51 Lane, Warsaw, is charged with strangulation, a level 6 felony, domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor. The marijuana possession charge is enhanced due to a prior conviction for marijuana possession.

According to police, officers were sent to respond to a domestic battery at Losher’s address on April 16. When officers arrived, Losher’s girlfriend told them that he had left on foot. She said Losher had grabbed her by the hair and moved her around the room. She added that he had choked her, restricting her air flow and that he hit her in the back of the shoulder area, causing pain.

The woman also told police that Losher had thrown items from the household at her and police reported seeing items strewn across the floor. The woman escorted police to a cabinet that she said was where Losher kept his supply of marijuana.

Police reported to have found marijuana in the cabinet and later located Losher, who officers said smelled like burnt marijuana and was also in possession of a marijuana cigarette.

Police say Losher told them he pulled his girlfriend’s hair.
