North Webster Youth Librarian Pam Long displays books donated by patrons in memory of the late former First Lady Barbara Bush to honor her legacy in promoting literacy.

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Community Public Library recently accepted memorial book donations in memory of the late former First Lady Barbara Bush and her lifelong work in promoting literacy. Given by patrons who wish to remain anonymous, the donations were used to purchase books for the Youth Department.

Donating memorial books provides an opportunity to memorialize a loved one or commemorate a special occasion. The library staff helps those making donations select appropriate books to honor their loved one or celebrate a milestone event. Adult or children’s books can be donated with each book displaying a book plate dedication.

“Memorial books create a lasting legacy and a meaningful way to pass along values to benefit others for years to come,” points out North Webster Library Director Helen Leinbach Frank.

For more information about donating memorial books, contact the library director, Adult Services Director Beth Smith, or Youth Services Librarian Pam Long at (574) 834-7122.
