Herbert C. Minix, 86, Rochester, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.

On Dec. 13, 1931, Mr. Minix was born in Salyersville, Ky. to Calloway and Easie Kraft Minix.

Herbert Minix and Dolores Louise Byer were married Oct. 19, 1952, in the Christian Church of Knox. They shared 65 years of life’s adventures.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife; three sons: Dennis Minix, Rochester; David Minix, Rochester; Dyke Minix and wife Carol, Rochester; a daughter, Donja Minix and fiancé Ray Fitting, California; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grand children; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Herbert Minix in death are his parents, two sisters and six brothers.

A celebration of the life of Herbert Minix will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 12, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18thSt., Rochester.  Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m., Friday, May 11, and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
