WABASH — Tippecanoe Valley’s girls tennis team got two super tiebreaker wins on the doubles courts, but the Lady Vikings were swept in singles play in a 3-2 loss at Wabash Tuesday.

Tiphanie Hodge and Makenna Bradley rallied from a first-set loss at 1 doubles to beat Alicyn Sheets and Hallie Miller 6-7, 6-4, 11-9, and Kaleigh Shumaker and Makenzie Costello did likewise in a 5-7, 6-2, 12-10 victory over Lena Cordes and Camille Kugler at 2 doubles.

Courtney Randall took four games from Bella Carillo in the second set at 3 singles but ultimately succumbed 6-0, 6-4, and Lea Stouder took three from Brooke Irgang at 2 singles before falling 6-0, 6-3. Makayla Sandbakken was shut out 0-0 in her 1 singles match with Lexi Hartley.

Valley won’t play again until next Monday’s TRC home meet with Manchester.
