Marjory E. Wise, 103, formerly of New Paris, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018, at “The Cove” Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen.

She was born Dec. 6, 1914, in Nappanee to James Howard and Minnie A. (Gibson) Moore. She married Manford M. Wise on May 1, 1938, in Bluffton and he passed away on Sept. 9, 1993.

The Wise’s lived in New Paris their entire married life and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May of 1988. She was a homemaker while raising her family but later in life worked several years in the hosiery department at Klines Department Store, Goshen. She was a member of New Paris Missionary Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Quoda (Marvin) Troyer, New Paris; a son, M. Kollin (Connie) Wise, Nappanee; a sister, Norma Berkey, Goshen; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Manford; a daughter, Marcia Wise-Cates; sisters: infant Arvilla, Betty Green, Emily Mishler-Russell, Georgia Mast, and Jean Blem; brothers, Donald, Forrest, James, and Richard Moore.

Visitation with the family will be from 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15, with a service following at 3:30 p.m., all at The Meetinghouse at Greencroft, 1225 Greencroft Drive, Goshen. Pastor Dave Hackney will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to New Paris Missionary Church.
