ETNA GREEN — Business at the Etna Green Town Board meeting Tuesday, April 10 focused on utility adjustments for citizens.

Aaron Baikan, a town resident, was present at the meeting, stating he was overcharged for his utility bill.

Town employee Barry Baker said this was due to the functions of the computer system for residents’ utilities. Once the system hits a specific number for a resident, it has to be manually set by somebody so that it continues functioning properly.

The board agreed to give Baikan $806.07 credit for the overcharge.

The board also decided to refund a citizen $796.20 for a residence that was charged for a security light that isn’t at the location.

Fire chief Randall Byrer announced that a sign with flashing lights was donated to the fire department. The board stated that it would look into ordinances regarding where the sign can be placed.

In other business:

• The board announced upcoming large trash pickup dates of May 15 and 22.
• The board announced hydrant flushing will take place from May 15 through 17.
• Meeting minutes for the March 13 meeting were approved.
• The board approved accounts payable vouchers.
• The next board meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 8.
