PERU – The Warsaw boys golf team made its season debut in the Hall of Fame Classic Saturday.
The Tigers, led by Luke Delp, earned a seventh-place team finish in the event played under cold conditions at the Rock Hollow Golf Club.
Delp fired a round of 78 to tie for fourth place individually as Warsaw shot 349 as a team.
Also competing for the Tigers were Sam Yeager, Chase Byron, Tommy Meier and Zach LaLonde.
Carmel, which was the state runner-up in 2017, won the team championship by shooting 310.
Warsaw is schedule to return to action Tuesday versus Northridge and Mishawaka Marian at the Elcona County Club in Bristol. The Tigers will then host their own Don Dicken Tournament Saturday at Stonehenge.
