KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was approached early last month about the increasing amount of hypodermic needles that the department is disposing of through criminal cases, jail medical use and the medication disposal program.

Due to the increased necessity of this type of service, a needle grinder was implemented into operation. The needle grinder will make the remains of a discarded needle safe for disposal.
