CULVER – The Culver Academy girls basketball team topped Lakeland Christian Academy 71-13 Saturday.

The hosts led 20-5 after the opening quarter and then held the Cougars scoreless in the second period of play to lead 39-5 at halftime.

Andrijana Cvitkovic scored 23 points and Victoria Christlieb had 22 to lead CGA, which improved to 8-5 on the season.

Jess Goss led LCA with six points. Emilee Catron had three points for the Cougars, who fall to 4-12.

LCA plays at Caston Thursday. CGA hosts its own tournament Friday and Saturday.
