Books of varying genres were collected throughout the month of February from the Jefferson family, as well as from community members. In total, 199 books were donated for Pierceton Woods Academy for Boys.

WARSAW — Jefferson’s sixth grade helped start a library in 2017 at Pierceton Woods Academy for Boys. The school partnered, once again, with staff member Diana Monroy to continue to grow the library in the month of February of this year.

Jefferson sixth graders have been learning about and discussing the importance of reading, not just for enjoyment, but for learning about the world and people residing within it.

Students have discovered reading assists in understanding others, developing independent ideas and providing the necessary information for making informed decisions. Jefferson staff believe it is very important for all kids to have that chance to learn and grow through books.
