MARION – The Warsaw boys track team opened its indoor season Saturday at the Hoosier State Relays Qualifier hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.

The foursome of Xavi Ramierez, Sam Lechlitner, Taylor Mills and Justin Fleming had a big day for the Tigers. The quality quartet placed second in the 4 X 800 relay in a time of 8:46.59. The group was also fourth in the 4000 Distance Medley Relay with a time of 11:33.11.

Lucas Howett was fifth in the 3,200 with a time of 10:21.59.

Alijah Wade placed eighth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.40.

Warsaw will compete in another HSR Qualifier next Saturday at IPFW.
