Alan R. Young, 66, Milford, passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at his home.

He was born to George and Jewel (Soice) Young on March 20, 1951, in Bucyrus, Ohio. He graduated from Wynford High School in 1969, and served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1972-1976, and received an honorable discharge.

Mr. Young worked in manufacturing until his retirement at the age of 62. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and his beloved dogs.

He is survived by the mother of his three children: Sandra (Butler) Young; his children: Cherie K. Stewart of Bloomville, Ohio; Alan (Neely) Young of Bucyrus, Ohio; and Joseph (Kelli) Young of Carrollton, Ga.; nine grandchildren: Amanda, Craig, Morgan, Addison, Hannah, Joey, Sierra, Adam and Devin; sisters: Patty (Ron) Rothhaar of Oceola, Ohio; and Julie Fleming-Tibbitts of Georgia; and brothers Gordon Fleming and Chris Gerhart of Georgia, and Bob Gerhart of Ohio. He is also survived by his special companion, Judy Bradford of Milford.

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Phyllis; his brothers, George Young and Robert Young; his grandson, Alan Leroy; and his great granddaughter, Skylar.
