WINONA LAKE – The future is bright for the LCA girls basketball program, picking up a pair of wins to claim the title at the Lakeland Christian Tournament on Saturday.

The home side defeated Granger Christian, 45-11, to advance to the title game. In the final, LCA dismantled Clinton Christian 39-14 to get the hardware and the team photo. Clinton reached the final by defeating Elkhart Christian 30-19, with ECA rallying to beat Granger 25-10 in the consolation round.

The LCA boys lost to Clinton Christian 46-30 in its opener, sending the hosts to the consolation final where it beat Granger Christian 42-26. The other half of the bracket saw Benton beat Granger 39-24 to make the final, where it knocked off Clinton 40-37.
