Ewen Vires, 73 of Argos, IN, was sent to Heaven on February 18, 2018 at 5:11 pm.

He was born Sept. 24, 1944, to Pierce & Nanny (Wright) Vires in Kentucky.

He was a one of a kind man and words can’t describe how incredible he truly was. This man turned many boys into men and showed many woman what true love felt like.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Sue Vires, as well as their children Mike and Julie Campbell, Argos; Tammy and Jeff Sneed, Nappanee; Joe and Gabbi Vires, Lapaz; and Jennifer Conley, Argos. He is also survived by Larry, Harold Dean Jr., Charles, Bernard Vires, Deloris Doody, Annetta Ritter, Michelle, Kayla, Kasey, Bobbie Campbell, AJ, Bruce, Colby, Jeff Campbell, Jeff, Aaron, Travis Sneed, Caleigh, Rylee, Talan, Easton, Pierce Vires and 13 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Vires and sister Rhoda Vires, and their three sons Anthony and Robert Campbell and Stephen Vires.

Visitation will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ Argos from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Feb. 22, 2018, with funeral services at 1 p.m. followed by burial at Maple Grove Cemetery.
