June “Carol” Nice, 78, New Paris Indiana and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 6 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born June 15, 1939, in Plymouth, to Sylvester Ivan and Hazel Laura (Carlow) Aman.

She was a former resident of Lakeville, Gautier, Miss., Warsaw and New Paris. She was united in marriage to Dennis Nice in Plymouth in 1992. She served as a nurse for St. Joseph Hospital, Plymouth and Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed cross-stitching and needlework and was a gardener and loved working outdoors and traveling.

Mrs. Nice is survived by daughters: Judith Elaine (spouse Rodney) Hygema of Lakeville; and Meschelle Lee (spouse Scott) Davidhizar of New Paris; her grandchildren include: Tracy Gnivecki, Matthew Hygema, Michael Davidhizar, Caleb Davidhizar and Catherine Davidhizar; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Lorraine Kay Oyler in 1981 and her husband Dennis L. “Denny” Nice in 2012.

Her funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Reverend Brian C. White and Reverend David Harper will officiate. Interment will be in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green.
