WARSAW — The Beaman Home would like to hear from survivors of domestic or sexual violence or abuse who are part of the local community and would be willing to share their stories in confidence.

The Beaman Home, in partnership with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, will use interviews with survivors to inform the state on what the community and its survivors need that is not currently accessible, as well as what the community properly provides for its survivors.

Having sought the services of The Beaman Home or any other shelter is not required to be interviewed; a person simply needs to have experienced domestic or sexual violence or abuse.

Survivors who agree to share her or his story will receive a Wal-Mart gift card as a thank you for being willing to speak about their experience. Interviews will take about an hour and a half, and all information will be confidential to the public.

Responses to the interview questions will be shared with selected state workers who analyze material from the stories to improve state-wide response to abuse. No personal identifying information will be shared.
