SYRACUSE — Wawasee Middle School Builders Club sponsored its second annual Valentine’s Day project. Collection boxes were placed in the school commons area and items collected were food, blankets, paper towels, bleach, detergent, toys and gently used and new collars, leashes and halters.

Members of the club also made more than 100 Valentine’s treat bags for the Animal Welfare League dog and cat residents. A cash donation was also presented from coffee and hot chocolate sales at athletic events, and donation containers at Lakeland Animal Clinic and the North Webster Community Center.

WMS Builders Club is sponsored by the Lakeland Kiwanis Club.
