Sunday Alcohol Sales Now On Fast Track
INDIANAPOLIS — Sunday alcohol sales in Indiana may be weeks away instead of months.
The Indiana House Public Policy Committee amended a Senate-passed bill Wednesday to change the effective date from July 1, 2018, to effective “immediately upon passage.”
The Senate-passed bill—and the new amendment—now head to the floor of the House.
The amendment was taken by consent, while the final committee vote on the bill was 9 to 1.
The only committee member to vote “no” was Tim Wesco, a Republican from Osceola.
