James “Jim” M. Lynch, 67, Ligonier, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018. He was born Jan. 30, 1951, the son of Thomas F. and Dolores (Mellow) Lynch in Erie, Penn.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1969-1973. He worked for several years at Superior Sample as a plant manager. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially if it had anything to do with hunting or fishing. His family considered him a true outdoors man. He also liked to spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Lynch Kuhn, Ligonier; grandchildren: Larry and Peyton Ritchie, Ligonier; and Olivia Lynch, Cromwell; two brothers: Bryan Lynch, Goshen; Tom Lynch, Kentucky; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Tom and Dolores Lynch; his son: Jason Lynch; and siblings: Gary Lynch and Maryann Perrin.

A graveside service will be held at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, at a later date, where Jim will be laid to final rest and military honors will be rendered. A private ceremony will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.
