Activities Abound At In February At The Syracuse Library

The Syracuse Library wants to remind everyone that all advertised events are free and open to anyone to attend. The people in the picture are most of the staff that came to an unadvertised, before-hours send off for long-time employee in the children’s department, Austin Meerzo.

SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Library is busy all day Thursday, Feb. 15. The day begins with yoga, food from fiction, fun at four and ends with teen gaming in the meeting room. A knitting club for children and adults meets at 5 p.m.

The Syracuse Library Children’s Book Club meets at 4 p.m.Tuesday, Feb. 13, while 1 p.m.Feb. 14 is the meeting time for the adult club.

Jackie Franks of the Kosciusko Purdue Extension service will be presenting a financial planning program at 6 p.m. March 6. Parents who are bringing children to story times at 10:30 a.m. Monday or Wednesday mornings are encouraged to sign up. Other reasons to come to the library are to exercise with chair yoga classes at 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The library offers many learning experiences that are not centered around books.

WorkOne services are at the library from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays. PeopleLink will have a representative from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14. The mobile office in Syracuse offers service without the drive to Warsaw.
