KOSCIUSKO—A Kosciusko man was arrested for dealing methamphetamine.

Jason David Weisser, 35, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.

On Feb. 8, officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at a Syracuse residence.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the homeowner said that Weisser, her ex-husband, was at her residence. She didn’t want him there because she suspected he was dealing drugs.

Officers found Weisser, who wouldn’t remove his hands from his pockets. The officers requested that Weisser take his hands out of his pockets.

He removed a plastic bag with a white crystal substance, a glass smoking device, and butane torch. Weisser told officers that he has a drug problem.

The substance tested positive for methamphetamine, weighing 1.7 grams.

Weisser’s ex-wife gave officers his cellphone, saying she found information on it associated with dealing methamphetamine.

Weisser was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 8, with a $15,250 surety and cash bond.
