WARSAW – Warsaw tennis standout Liza Lewis has helped guide the Tigers through her first three seasons, and the singles standout has announced her intention to further her education and tennis career at Marian University in the upcoming fall.

Lewis, who has earned recognition as All District, All Northern Lakes Conference, and Academic All State, helped lead the Tigers to three IHSAA Sectional and Regional titles.  As an individual, Lewis has also captured both sectional and regional titles at No. 1 singles.

A multi-sport athlete, Lewis also lettered and participated and in cross country for four seasons.

While Lewis has excelled in all facets on the court, the scholar-athlete has excelled in her service to the school and community.  Lewis has been a Baker Youth Club tutor, helped with the Warsaw Community Church youth groups, Community Kitchen, and volunteered with the Animal Shelter.  A member of the National Honor Society, she has also been a member of the Octagon Club.

A scholar-athlete award winner with a remarkable 4.0 grade-point average, Lewis plans on studying nursing at Marian and playing tennis for coach Tyler Scanlan.  The Knights are members of the NAIA and the Crossroads League.
