More Wawasee Robotics Teams Qualify For State

SYRACUSE — Two more Wawasee High School Iron Pride robotics teams have qualified for the Indiana VEX Robotics State Championships.

Immortal consisting of Noah Beckner, Jack Collins, Cory Dunivan and Wesley Hays, and Spartan with Gage Beezley, Connor Byrd and Spencer Naugler were part of an all Wawasee alliance winning the West Jay County Robotics Tourney Saturday, Jan. 27. The two teams qualified for the state championship as a result. Centurion with Micah and Evan Rassi, Joe Kelsheimer and Nicholas Murphy was also part of the alliance but had previously qualified for the state tournament.

Centurion, with a score of 178, was named Robot Skills Champion at the Jay County tourney with their score placing them seventh in the world in a field consisting of more than 10,000 teams.

Seven of the 10 robotics teams from Wawasee have now qualified for the state tournament.
